Child abuse complaint results in criminal charges for Owego man

OWEGO, NY (WHCU) – A child abuse complaint in Tioga County has led to criminal charges.

Authorities in the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division arrested 27-year-old David Lopez, of Owego, on Friday after looking into the allegations. Lopez is charged with felony aggravated family offense, misdemeanor assault, and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child.

Lopez is scheduled to return to court on Tuesday.
