SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WHCU) – Patrick Dai is set to make an appearance in federal court tomorrow afternoon.

The 21-year-old Cornell junior accused of making violent threats to the Jewish community on campus last month is due in court at 1:30 on Thursday for a bail hearing. The prosecution and defense will argue whether Dai should be released from custody.

WSTM-TV in Syracuse reports Dai’s public defender made the request after Dai initially waived his right to such a hearing last week. Prosecutors argued Dai should be held without bail as a flight risk during his initial court appearance.
