ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Cornell scientists hope to improve human health.

The university recently received a $1.7 million grant to research diet-related diseases and nutritional challenges. Artificial intelligence will help perform the studies.

Dr. Saurabh Mehta tells the Cornell Chronicle that malnutrition is one of the “key challenges” humans are facing.

Money for the research is coming from the National Institutes of Health.
