Hospital employee in Cortland arrested for taking inappropriate photos

CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) – An employee at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center is facing a felony charge.

Authorities investigated a complaint from the hospital on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, and arrested 34-year-old Matthew Ulbing. Ulbing is accused of taking inappropriate photos of a patient on his cell phone without the patient’s consent.

Ulbing is charged with felony unlawful surveillance in the second degree. Ulbing will appear in Cortland City Court on July 10, 2023
