ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — The Ithaca City School District plans to add to its electric bus fleet.

Superintendent Luvelle Brown shared an update Tuesday on Ithaca’s Morning News.

Brown adds it’s an expensive goal.

By 2035, all school districts in New York must replace all diesel buses with electric buses. Last month, ICSD announced they had purchased two electric buses, which was a first for the district.
