ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — An Ithaca town official is getting recognition.

Director of Code Enforcement Marty Moseley was recently named State Code Official of the Year. He tells WHCU he inspects buildings and homes for safety.

“It could be as simple as your backyard deck that we inspect,” he says.

Moseley says the town is working on several projects, like the Cornell baseball field.

He adds he’s “honored” to receive the award.
