ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Tompkins County leaders will entertain offers on a historic home.

The red house on North Tioga Street in Ithaca will soon be on the market. Legislator Deborah Dawson says it may not be an easy sell.

“This going to be a building that can’t be torn down, it’s going to be a building that needs substantial investment to bring it up to any kind of useful shape,” she says.

Officials are hoping to sell the house by winter, but Legislator Mike Lane says that might not happen.
