WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (WHCU) – A Montour Falls man could spend up to 14 years behind bars.

According to the Schuyler County District Attorney’s Office, 28-year-old Steven Bonham pled guilty last month to charges of assault, burglary, and two misdemeanors. The charges stem from a series of property crimes and resisting arrest in which Bonham injured a State Trooper.

Bonham was sentenced in Schuyler County Court on Thursday.  Bonham received six years for the assault charge, two to six years for the burglary charge, and a year each for the misdemeanors. Bonham was additionally ordered to pay $1,869.50 in restitution and will be subject to two years of supervision when he gets out of prison.
