NEWFIELD, N.Y. (WHCU) — Newfield High School is presenting a chocolatey play this weekend.

Students will perform Willy Wonka. Assistant Director Ann-Marie Thayer says it’s an all-hands-on-deck effort.

“There are about 70 people — students and adults — involved in the show,” she says.

Thayer adds the kids have been rehearsing since early January.

The show debuts tonight at 7 PM. Additional performances are happening Saturday at 7 PM and Sunday at 4 PM. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and students.
