Nichols firefighters pay respect to ‘local icon’

NICHOLS, N.Y. (WHCU) — Authorities in Tioga County are remembering a marine.

Richard ‘Dad’ MacDonald died on Thursday. The Nichols Volunteer Fire Department calls him a “local icon.”

A celebration of life will happen at 11 AM on Wednesday at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel. MacDonald was 85.
