NWS issues another heat advisory for Southern Tier

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Another hot and humid day across the Southern Tier is triggering another advisory.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for the region today, as the heat index is expected to reach the upper 90s. Forecasters suggest drinking plenty of liquids and staying out of the sun. Today’s advisory will be in effect from noon until seven o’clock.

A heat advisory was also issued on Monday. Cooler temperatures are expected by the end of the week.
