Officer wellness, staff shortages remain focuses at IPD

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — The Ithaca Police Department is short staffed. 

Sergeant Matt Cowen tells us it’s placing more of a burden on existing officers. 

There’s been an increased focus on officer wellness. 

Cowen, who’s a 15-year veteran with IPD, oversees training in the department.
