OWEGO, N.Y. (WHCU) — A Tioga County village is working on new plans for a park.

Owego Mayor Mike Baratta tells WBNG-TV they had to create a new plan for an ‘art park’ after learning that their choice of location was contaminated by fuel. The village received state funding to create the park, and Baratta says they now need more cash to fix the issue.

Owego is working with the state DEC on a solution.
