ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — An Ithaca man is accused of returning to a business on Fairgrounds Memorial Parkway one day after allegedly stealing from the same business.

27-year-old Terry Short was arrested Tuesday night after a brief foot chase. Police say Short had multiple knives attached to his waistband. He’s been charged with criminal possession of a weapon and menacing a police officer, both of which are felonies.

On Monday, IPD says Short threatened officers with a machete before fleeing into ‘the jungle.’ He was taken to the Tompkins County Jail with bail set at $25,000.
