ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — A salary has been set for Ithaca’s city manager.

The Common Council voted 9-0 on Wednesday night to establish an annual salary range of $160,000 to $185,000.

In addition, the Common Council also agreed to form a search committee to find Ithaca’s first city manager. In another unanimous vote, the four-person committee will consist of Alderpersons Rob Gearhart, Robert Cantelmo, Phoebe Brown, and Donna Fleming.

The search is estimated to take three months to complete. Mayor Laura Lewis expects the city manager to begin their role on January 1.
