ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Local authorities are calling on the public for donations for a free pancake breakfast.

The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office, Lansing United Methodist Church, and the Business Leaders of Color are participating in the upcoming National Faith and Blue event. The event, based on the premise that “strong communities are built through mutual respect and understanding,” highlights the importance of law enforcement and faith institutions and their relationship to each other.

All donations can be dropped off at the Sheriff’s Office on Warren Road in Ithaca. The breakfast will happen on Monday, October 9, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Lansing United Methodist Church.
