Troopers release new info in Newfield crash

NEWFIELD, N.Y. (WHCU) — Three vehicles were involved in a crash Tuesday afternoon in Newfield, which resulted in injuries to eight people. 

State Police have released more information about the wreck. Troopers say a Ford Escape rear-ended a Chevrolet near Smiley’s, leading to a chain reaction involving a third vehicle.

Among the eight people injured were three children, including a three-year-old who was airlifted for treatment of a head injury.

No charges have been filed.
