Waverly Rec organizing bus trip for HS football championship game

WAVERLY, N.Y. (WHCU) – A local high school football team is headed to Syracuse with championship aspirations.

The Waverly Wolverines will play for the Class C state title at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday night in the JMA Wireless Dome. The Waverly Recreation Department is organizing a free bus trip to and from the game for residents without transportation. A spot on the bus must be reserved by 3 p.m. on Thursday. They’re looking for a minimum of 20 people and can accommodate more than 40. Reserve your spot by emailing ereznicek@villageofwaverly.com if you’re interested.

Elsewhere in Section IV, Tioga High School will play for a Class D State Championship at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
