ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — A recently passed bill in the Legislature to rescue Ithaca Carshare from ruin remains on Governor Hochul’s desk.

State Senator Lea Webb weighed in Wednesday on Ithaca’s Morning News.

Webb adds action in Albany is critical.

The bill was approved in June, a few weeks after Ithaca Carshare temporarily halted operations.

Director Liz Field recently told WHCU that if the bill isn’t signed soon in its current form, then Ithaca Carshare will likely close for good.
