20-year-old reported missing in Ithaca found alive in Pennsylvania

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A man reported missing in Ithaca has been found.

The Syracuse Post-Standard reports 20-year-old Jon D’Agostino is alive and well in Pennsylvania over the weekend, which was confirmed by State Park Police.

The Syracuse-native and former Ithaca College student was last seen leaving the IC campus on September 7. His car and cell phone were left in Buttermilk Falls State Park along with a note reportedly suggesting self-harm, setting off an intensive, multi-day search.

D’Agostino reportedly hitchhiked and caught a ride from Elmira to Trout Run, Pennsylvania, on September 8.

Authorities did not release any further details.
