Argument becomes assault on Ithaca Commons, police say

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — An argument on the Commons ended in violence.

Ithaca Police say 30-year-old Marcus Collins was in a verbal dispute with someone around 2:35 p.m. Friday, July 24 that resulted in a physical assault. Officers found the victim outside Center Ithaca.

“The victim, who was reportedly unconscious at one point, was transported to a local trauma center for treatment,” police said. The victim’s name and injuries were not disclosed in a news release.

Collins was charged with felony assault and taken to the Tompkins County jail after his arraignment.
