Authorities seek to locate owner of abandoned puppies in Cortland

CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) – An investigation is underway after a litter of puppies was discovered abandoned in Cortland.

On July 3, seven terrier-mix puppies, estimated to be 6-10 weeks old, were found in a cardboard box beside a creek at Lime Hollow Nature Center.

According to the Cortland County SPCA, a member of the public discovered the animals in time and donated enough to cover vaccinations and spaying/neutering for one puppy. Donations are currently being accepted to cover the care costs for the others.
