Ben’s Original recalls variety of rice for possible presence of small stones

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Check your pantries.

Ben’s Original has voluntarily recalled several varieties of its rice for potential foreign body contamination.

According to the FDA, the affected products could contain “small, naturally occurring stones originating from the rice farm.” If consumed, they could cause an oral or digestive tract injury, though no reports of injuries or adverse effects have been reported.

The recall applies to the following specific batches of long grain white, whole grain brown, and long grain and wild ready rice.

The FDA adds the impacted retailers are not limited to those listed above, as additional retailers maybe have purchased products distributed by Associated Grocers, C&S, and Dot Foods from August through September 2025.
