ULYSSES, NY (607NewsNow) – A bridge in Tompkins County is unsafe.

On March 12, the New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) requested that the Podunk Road Bridge in Ulysses be closed due to “structural deterioration.”

The bridge, located between South Street Extension and Cold Springs Road, will remain closed until a new one is installed.

State and county officials have not yet released a timeline for the work.
