Cayuga Lake Watershed Network to host online info session about lake health

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Organizations are recognizing New York Invasive Species Awareness Week.

On June 10, the Cayuga Lake Watershed Network will host a free online conference on aquatic invasive species and local efforts to protect the lake.

In addition to learning about hydrilla, round goby, and zebra mussels, attendees will hear presentations from the DEC’s Bureau of Fisheries and the Community Science Institute’s Harmful Algal Bloom Monitoring Program. There will be opportunities to ask questions.

The virtual conference runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Additional information and registration details are available here.
