FAYETTE, NY (607NewsNow) – New York State is investing in the Finger Lakes.

Last month, Governor Hochul announced that nearly $64,000 in development funding is going to the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail (CLWT) for an out-of-state marketing program.

The money, which comes from Empire State Development’s Market New York Program, will be used for a campaign to increase tourist traffic to local wineries from the Philadelphia direct market area.

Officials say the targeted area spans Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, and boasts six million people.
