CORTLAND, NY – (607NewsNow) – A public transit company is updating operations in Cortland County.

Centro of Cortland announced last week the rollout of new fare boxes on its fixed-route and paratransit vehicles, scheduled for later this summer.

The Genfare FAST Fareboxes on fixed-route buses and the Pacemaker Fareboxes on paratransit vehicles will bring Cortland’s fleet in line with the technology used across the company’s network. Beginning next month, Centro will provide outreach to help customers become familiar with the new equipment.

Installation is expected to run from late July through early August.
