Chemung County executive backs Stefanik for governor

ELMIRA, NY (607NewsNow) — A Republican gubernatorial hopeful is getting support from a local leader. 

Chemung County Executive Chris Moss is endorsing Rep. Elise Stefanik for governor. Moss says Stefanik’s “commitment to lower taxes, support for small businesses, and public safety align with the Southern Tier’s priorities.” Moss is one of 9 county executives who’ve publicly backed Stefanik.

Stefanik announced Friday plans to challenge Gov. Kathy Hochul next year.
