CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — SUNY Cortland’s daycare center is currently closed.

The Cortland Standard reports a note was sent to parents Friday announcing a two-week closure of the facility, which began Monday, May 18.

Three staff members, including the director and interim director, were arrested recently on charges of child endangerment. Alleged violations include corporal punishment.

According to New York’s Office of Children and Family Services, the childcare center will re-open when staffing levels are in compliance.
