DRYDEN, NY (607NewsNow) – The Dryden Fire Department is hosting a food drive.

On April 11, firefighters will collect non-perishable food items, pet food, and personal hygiene products for community members in need.

Attendees are asked to bring their donations to the door just to the right of the 4 truck bay doors.

The drive, which is being held in conjunction with the Dryden Kitchen Cupboard, is scheduled for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Dryden Fire Station.

EXAMPLE ITEMS TO DONATE (NO PERISHABLE, EXPIRED, OR DAMAGED ITEMS):

  • Canned vegetables
  • Canned fruit
  • Boxed pasta
  • Pasta sauce
  • Peanut butter
  • Soup
  • Rice
  • Crackers
  • Cereal
  • Pet food/treats
  • Disposable razors
  • Soap
  • Toothbrushes/toothpaste/mouthwash
  • Lotion
