Cornell hosting kid’s day at Newman Arena

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Cornell is hosting a kid’s day at Newman Arena today. The men’s basketball team takes on Alfred State. Families are encouraged to bring their kids clad in Big Red for possible on-court experiences. Gates open at 1 p.m., and the game starts at 2 p.m.

Cornell’s women’s basketball team heads to New York tomorrow in a matchup against Columbia. Tipoff at 2 p.m.

The women’s basketball team at SUNY Cortland squeaked out a win Thursday, Jan. 1 against Colby College in Massachusetts, 59-57, with just over one second left in the game. The Red Dragons move to 6-2 this season.

The Buffalo Bills are asking for some help removing snow. Ahead of their season finale on Sunday, the Bills are requesting fans 18 and older to pitch in and help clear Highmark Stadium of snow tomorrow. Shovelers will be paid $20 an hour.
