Cornell men’s lacrosse player named Tewaaraton Award finalist

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — A Cornell men’s lacrosse player is receiving major recognition.

Junior Willem Firth is a finalist for the 2026 Tewaaraton Award. The award honors the top player in college lacrosse.

Firth leads the Big Red with 51 goals this season. He also has 29 assists.

The winner of the Tewaaraton will be announced May 28. Former Cornell star CJ Kirst won the award in 2025.
