Cornell men’s soccer extends win streak; Knicks begin 2025-2026 campaign

Three straight wins for the Cornell men’s soccer team. The Big Red beat Syracuse 2-1 on Tuesday.

No luck for the Ithaca College women’s soccer team. The Bombers lost to RIT 1-0 on Tuesday.

Ithaca High School is celebrating several soccer championships. The varsity girls, JV girls, and JV boys recently won Southern Tier Athletic Conference titles.

Both SUNY Cortland soccer teams take the field today. The men’s team visits Canton at 3 p.m. and the women’s team hosts Canton at 6 p.m.

It’s opening night for the Knicks. They’ll host the Cavaliers at 7 p.m. New York Head Coach Mike Brown said the Knicks have a “competitive” group this season.

The Syracuse football team is getting ready for its game against Georgia Tech. Syracuse Head Coach Fran Brown said the Yellow Jackets have a “really good” receiving core. The game begins at 12 p.m. on Saturday in Georgia.

The Sabres host the Red Wings tonight at 7:30 p.m. Detroit enters the matchup on a five-game win streak.

The Syracuse Crunch visit Rochester tonight at 7:05. Syracuse is undefeated so far this season.
