Cortland PD investigating teen brawl at football game

CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) – Cortland Police are investigating a fight.

On September 5, officers were called to the Cortland High School football game for a verbal altercation between two groups of teenagers around 7:30 p.m.

Law enforcement and school officials told the kids to leave the premises. They were escorted from the event, but a fracas broke out in front of the school. Cortland Police intervened to restore order.

One person was arrested for disorderly conduct, and police are looking into unconfirmed reports that some people had knives. Cortland Police say further charges are likely pending the outcome of the investigation.
