MARATHON (607NewsNow) – A school district in Cortland County is changing bus schedules.

On December 1, the Marathon Central School District will temporarily consolidate bus routes due to an ongoing driver shortage.

The district is notifying affected families. Three routes are affected, and there is no timetable for a return to normal service. In a letter to district families, Superintendent Jamie Coppola says the district is actively recruiting drivers and hopes to restore regular routes “as soon as possible.”

The changes take effect this coming Monday.
