Elmira crews rescue dog stuck in post hole

ELMIRA, NY (607NewsNow) – A family pet is safe after a rescue in Elmira.

On August 22, authorities were called to Jerusalem Hill Road for a report that a dog had become stuck in a freshly dug post hole.

Elmira Animal Control and the Baldwin Volunteer Fire Company were able to remove the 13-year-old Pit-mix “Bruiser” from the hole unharmed.

Elmira Animal Control says Bruiser is doing well.
