ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Water damage is forcing nearly 50 Cornell students to relocate temporarily.

On January 15, a sprinkler issue at Ganedago Hall caused minor flooding on one side of the building, according to school officials.

The Cornell Daily Sun reports 46 people were placed at The Statler that night and are being moved to other dorms while crews assess and repair the damage.

While there is no estimated time frame for the work, one student tells The Sun that she was told her relocation would last six weeks.
