Giants fire Daboll; Rangers outplay Predators

The Giants are entering Week 11 with a different head coach. On Monday, the team fired Brian Daboll. The change comes after the G-Men dropped their fourth consecutive game on Sunday. Offensive Coordinator Mike Kafka will serve as interim head coach.

The Cornell men’s hockey team will honor the life of Ken Dryden on Friday. The NCAA national champion goaltender and six-time Stanley Cup champ passed away in September. According to Cornell Athletics, a tribute video highlighting Dryden’s life and contributions will be shown prior to puck drop. Friday’s game against Brown begins at 7 p.m. at Lynah Rink.

The Rangers outplayed the Predators 6-3 on Monday. Artemi Panarin scored two goals in the victory.

The Knicks look to stretch their win streak to five. New York entertains Memphis tonight at 7:30 p.m. The Knicks are favored to win by about 10 points.

It’s opening night for the Ithaca College women’s basketball team. The Bombers begin their season at St. John Fisher at 5:30 p.m.

The SUNY Cortland women’s hoops team has a home game this evening. The Red Dragons host Scranton at 7 p.m.
