ICSD fiscal shape ‘strong,’ superintendent says

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — After some challenging years in the Ithaca City School District, they’re going into the 2026-27 budget prep on more solid fiscal ground.

Superintendent Dr. Luvelle Brown explained Tuesday, Jan. 14 on 607 This Morning that the district is on a roll.

Reserves are also in good shape, Brown added.

In considering a budget for the 2026-27 school year, Brown described the process as taking place ‘year-round.’
