LANSING, NY (607NewsNow) — The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office is adding to its online transparency hub

Sheriff Derek Osborne tells 607 News Now “there’s a running log that details the calls we respond to, somewhat of a location–we don’t narrow it down to the street number but we do the street or roadway.”

Other information included are the type of calls to which deputies are responding and it tracks trends over hours, days, months, and years, Osborne said.

The added portal joins C.A.R.E. team data, civilian response unit, defensive action reports, DWI calls, and traffic tickets.

Osborne says more data portals, including a potential animal abuse registry, are possible.
