ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Christopher Santos, Ithaca College Advertising, Public Relations, and Marketing Communications major ’29, has been named the first-place winner for the College Radio category in Project Yellow Light.
Project Yellow Light is a scholarship competition where high school and college students create effective messaging about the dangers of driving while distracted, specifically using a phone while driving, according to their website.
Santos earned top spot for the College Radio category with his campaign, titled ‘Be a 10.’
Per Santos’ LinkedIn, he stated:
“I decided to produce a radio PSA for the campaign, and after developing the script, several of my classmates generously lent their voices to help bring it to life.
I’m incredibly honored to share that the campaign, ‘Be a 10,’ has won the Project Yellow Light College Radio Competition and will air on IHeartMedia channels nationwide! A sincere thank you to everyone at Project Yellow Light, The Ad Council, PIX11, iHeartMedia, the panel of judges, and PYL founder Julie Garner, for believing in our work and making this opportunity possible.
