Ithaca man arrested on weapon, resisting arrest charges

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — More charges are pending against an Ithaca man.

According to the Ithaca Police Department, an officer on foot patrol this morning at the Green Street parking garage saw someone suspicious. Justin Carl was questioned about recent larcenies from vehicles, and police say the 40-year-old became combative and confrontational. A handgun fell out of Carl’s sweatshirt pocket during the scuffle.

He’s charged with obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, and criminal possession of a weapon. IPD says other charges are possible.
