ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — An Ithaca footbridge is being named after a city worker.

Tim Logue began working for Ithaca in 2000, eventually becoming the city’s director of engineering. Officials say one of Logue’s proudest accomplishments was creating the Black Diamond Trail.

The Common Council voted Wednesday to rename the trail footbridge over the flood control channel the Tim Logue Memorial Bridge. Logue died in June.

A dedication is likely next week, officials said.
