LWVTC touts Vote411 for general election info

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – The local chapter of a civic group is touting a resource for the upcoming general elections.

The League of Women Voters of Tompkins County says you can find everything you need at www.vote411.org, including registration information, polling place locations, and candidate info for county, city, and other local races.

Voters are reminded that their legislative districts may have changed this year.

The deadline to register is October 25, which also marks the start of early voting. Election Day is November 4.

Tompkins County Residents 

  • Will be voting on County Legislators and a New York State Amendment to allow an Olympic Sports Complex in Essex County on State Forest Preserve Land
  • May also be voting on local races, including Town Supervisor, Town Clerk, Highway Superintendent, Town Councilpersons, or Town Justice

Ithaca City Residents

  • Will be voting on Common Council Alderpersons in all 5 city wards
