ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A Walmart-brand grilling accessory is being recalled.

According to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), several models of Walmart’s Expert Grill wire brushes are no longer safe to use.

CPSC officials say the recalled products have bristles that can detach, posing an ingestion hazard, and serious risk of internal injuries that could require surgery. No injuries have been reported to date, but nearly 4.48 million brushes were sold between January 2021 through August 2026 in Walmart stores and on their website.

Consumers should stop using the brushes immediately and contact Walmart for a full refund or store credit.
