GROTON, NY (607NewsNow) – State Route 222 is open to traffic again after a crash in McLean.

On January 20, McLean Fire and Rescue was called to the intersection of Lafayette Road and Route 222 around noon for a two-vehicle collision.

A tractor-trailer struck a four-door sedan, but it was unclear who was at fault.

Both drivers refused ambulances at the scene, and that area of Route 222 was closed for several hours.

In other McLean Fire and Rescue news, the department is having a rib dinner fundraiser on Saturday, January 24. Each meal comes with ribs, macaroni and cheese, and coleslaw. Full racks of ribs are available but must be pre-ordered by the end of the day on January 21.
