Ozark Trail tabletop camping stove recalled for fire, burn hazard

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A product sold at Walmart has been recalled for burn and fire hazards.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, a model of Ozark Trail’s tabletop 1-burner butane camping stoves can catch fire or explode.

There have been 26 reports of the stoves exploding or catching fire, including 16 injuries. The recall applies to model BG2247A1, which is printed on a gray label on the inside of the dark green unit’s fuel compartment.

 

Consumers are advised to immediately discontinue use of the product and return it to Walmart for a full refund. Over 200,000 were sold in stores and online at Walmart from March 2023 through October 2025.
