Parole denied again for Schuyler County killer


WATKINS GLEN, NY (CortacaToday) — Another parole attempt by a convicted killer in Schuyler County has been denied. 

Joshua Horein has remained in prison since August 2001 after pleading guilty to second-degree murder. In 2000, prosecutors say Horein beat his 15-year-old classmate to death. He was 16. Amber Brockway’s body was found in an abandoned building near Seneca Lake.

Horein, now 40, has been denied parole six previous times. He’s serving 20 years to life in prison.
