HOMER, NY (607NewsNow) – Authorities are investigating a crash in Homer.

On March 9, police were called to Route 11 underneath the I-81 overpass around 11 a.m. for a possible bicycle versus vehicle collision.

When first responders arrived, they found a man and a bike down in the roadway and began administering emergency care. The victim was transported to a hospital for “higher injury care.” His condition is currently unknown.

The area of the crash was shut down for a short period of time. Investigators say they don’t think a vehicle was involved in the accident.

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information relevant to the investigation to contact them.
