NEW YORK (607NewsNow) — The Rangers couldn’t come back after falling behind Wednesday night.

The visiting Senators seized the lead early: Ottawa scored four goals in the first period.

“It’s a tough way to start the game,” New York Head Coach Mike Sullivan said.

In the end, the Rangers lost 8-4. New York hasn’t won a game in nearly two weeks.

“We’ve gone through a rash of emotions,” Sullivan said. “There’s been tons of anger.”

He said the team will work hard and stick together in the days ahead.
